This week we are carrying on with our traditional tales. We have started to look at the story of Cinderella. The children have started using speech marks in their writing this week.
In Numeracy we are focussing on the properties of shapes.
In Science the children have had the chance to play with lots of different toys that you need to push or pull for them to move.
In History we have been looking at old toys. Mrs Moger bought in some old toys, including a 90 year old Teddy! (Not her own!!)
If anybody has some old toys that they could share with us that would be great, even if it is just a picture of one.

The children worked in pairs and had a choice of objects to put in their own yellow bags. The idea was to imagine the objects turning into different things. They then used their ideas to write their own stories. Both year one and two had some really fantastic ideas. Well done!
Mrs. Johnson in year two made story books come alive! The children had to use their imagination to write a poem (using similes) about what comes alive out of their books.
The children had a brilliant day and worked excellently with year two.
