Thank you so much from all of the Year 1 team. We really appreciated the kind words and gifts that you gave us. 

We have had a fantastic year and are really proud of all of the children.

The Year 1 team. 

Open afternoon on Monday....

On Monday afternoon you are welcome to come in to Year 1 and have a look at your child's old books, art folders and displays. You can then take your child to their new classroom to talk to their new teachers and look around the classroom to see where the children will be hanging their coats etc.

Rio carnival this Friday...

Just a reminder that we are asking that all children have a bright coloured top in school tomorrow please. Also if you do have any more tin cans we are about 12 short!

On Friday from 2pm all parents are invited in to the school grounds to watch the school parade their items they have made for Rio week and also for you to listen to the Samba tunes that Mrs Mewett has taught them. It is the POWSA school disco after school on Friday. If you have not got your child a ticket please purchase these from the office before or after school, otherwise they can be bought on the doors at 4.30pm.

We hope you all enjoyed our Year 1 assembly on Friday. It was brilliant to be able to show you around the forest school area.

This week is our Rio week. The children will be learning facts about the upcoming olympics and making masks, musical instruments and Mrs Mewett will be teaching the children samba!

Just a reminder that all children will be doing forest school tomorrow.
