Class assembly, reading books and home learning books!

 Hello everyone,

I just wanted to do a quick blog to let you know about the class assembly. It is in the calendar for this Friday, however, this has been moved to next term! Sorry for the confusion.

Just a reminder that RWI and reading books need to be back in tomorrow or Friday, also please can home learning books come back in. I am so proud of the work that is coming back in these home learning books. A big thank you all!! The home learning books are not compulsory, however, the work set in these does support the children's learning in the classroom.

As always, if you have any questions please email me.

YEAR ONE CHILDREN ARE AMAZING!

For some reason I thought this blog has been posted but it wasn't. I AM SO SORRY!! This was posted a while ago but I wanted to make sure you have seen it!!!!

Hello everyone, I'm so sorry I haven't updated the blog in a while it's been a busy few weeks! I just want to start by saying how amazing each and every child in Year One is. They make me so proud every day and I feel so lucky to teach them. They have settled in so well to Year One and their attitudes to learning BLOW ME AWAY! A big pat on the back to you all!

OUR ZOO DAY WAS INCREDIBLE!! All children enjoyed every aspect of this and there were a few surprises on the way. Thank you for sending your children in wearing animal costumes, this really made the day so special. We had a range of treats as well, which included hot chocolate that the children had to pay for by using counters, different animals came in to visit us, and we finished the day with a film and popcorn/sweets! I have added a range of pictures so you can see what happened on our zoo day!

It was such a super day had by all!!

Just a quick reminder, please can any reading books come back into school on a Thursday/Friday as well as home learning books.

I'm so happy that we are approaching the run up to christmas now.....it's going to be the most magical one yet!! Keep your eyes and ears peeled.

As always please email me if you want to tell me anything.

Thank you for your continued support!

If we can't go to the zoo....the zoo will come to us!

THIS IS A VERY EXCITING BLOG!!!!!!! Although we are all heartbroken that we cannot go to the zoo.......we have a range of very exciting things planned for Thursday that will not disappoint.....we can promise you that!

The Year One team have been extremely busy making sure that this day is filled fun and laughter. This day may include aspects such as virtual tours to a zoo, special treats, the classroom looking different and SURPRISES!

As I'm sure you already know here at The Prince of Wales School we do not shy away from dressing up and this day is no exception. If your child has any animal dressing up clothes which could include pjs or onesies please could you send them in wearing these on Thursday. We have around 25 costumes in school if you would like to borrow one, please just let us know!

Also, we are going to have a picnic so please send your child in with a packed lunch. Lots of pictures will be taken to document the day.

We are really looking forward to this day as I'm sure the children are too!

Just a quick reminder, please can home learning books come back in on Thursday as well. We are missing some RWI books that have previously been sent home. Please have a look for these and if you find any send them back in as well. Thank you!

If you have any questions, please email me or ask at the beginning or end of the day!
