This week is our Drama themed week. Year 1 will be starting the week looking at magical creatures. We will be using our descriptions of them to write poems.
On Tuesday we are having a joint day with Y3. All of the children will get the opportunity to work with some Year 3's with Mr MacBean and also with the Year 3's in Year 1. I don't want to give too much away about the day but there will be lots of drama, improvisation, imagination and fantastic writing involved. I will make sure I blog some of the work!
On Wednesday we will be revisiting a story the children know well, but we will be thinking about a different character in the story.
Thursday will be our drama day with Simon Stone where we will learn many drama techniques linked to a story.
We will also be evaluating our hand puppets and changing our reading books in group reading.
A very busy week ahead!
Andy Goldsworthy home learning can be handed in this week and we will be discussing this next week.
