Welcome
to the second half of the spring term! I hope you had a good half term and your
child was able to make a creative thing to show this week to start off our new
topic – Traditional Tales. I have seen some already and I am very much looking
forward to discussing their creations! We will be sharing them in class this
week.
This week
in Literacy we will be discussing the story ‘Mr Wolf’s Pancakes’ ready for
Pancake Day! Your child will be writing in role as well as writing a persuasive
letter to Cinderella inviting her over for pancakes.
We are
planning on making pancakes the following week as this links to our maths
learning – measurement. This week we will be recapping ruler knowledge and
introducing capacity, ready for making pancakes! At home if you could continue
to challenge your child to measure objects using rulers or their hands (just
make sure they are using rulers correctly) that would be fantastic.
