LOOK OUT for the costume note!!

 Hello Year One Families

Your child has come home with a note  today saying what costume they need for our Christmas show. Please let me know if you haven't received it. It has the above picture on it.

We have had so much fun this week! We all crept back through the wardrobe together and into Narnia. The children worked with Miss Knight to create some fantastic imaginative adjectives about the characters and animals of Narnia. They went on to write sentences about different creatures they would like to see in Narnia too.

In Forest School this week we were lucky enough that the snow came just as we were going outdoors. We got to enjoy some of the snowflakes and then collected a stick and headed back in to the warmth. The children all made a very cool 'Stick Man' of their own!

In Art we have painted our penguins that we made out of clay. We just have an orange beak to add before they are ready. They look fabulous as a little colony!

The children have also created a Three Kings picture that will go to decorate St Mary's Church this year.

Trip to Shire Hall on Tuesday
Don't forget we have our trip to Shire Hall on Tuesday 5th December. We will be experiencing a Victorian Christmas which wraps up our learning about the Victorians. We will be walking there and back as well as having lunch in the Shire Hall too. If you would like to help on this trip please do let me know.

Have a wonderful weekend and we will see you all on Monday.
The Year One Team.
