You may have heard that some eggs have mysteriously appeared in the year 1 classroom. This week the year 1 children have busily been making nests in order to care for the eggs in hope that they hatch out. Fingers crossed!
We have also enjoyed a trip to Maiden Castle Farm this week where Hazel taught us all about the names of mummy and daddy farm animals and their babies. We also got to see the sheep and their lambs as well as some tractors at work. The children listened very well and asked lots of questions furthering their understanding of farms, animals and the countryside. We found tracks in the mud, sheep's wool and cow hairs as well as enjoying the puddles on our way back to school. Thank you for providing your child with wellies and waterproofs!
We have started our summer topic of minibeasts this week and have enjoyed some sunny afternoons in the front garden looking for living things!
