Dear Year One Families,
Oh what a week we have had!
Firstly, we have been our creative best selves in Art this week, we have completed our sculptures and on Friday we installed our exhibition, children worked together in small groups to embellish our exhibition with further artwork and to install the exhibition, every child helped create the exhibition and they were able to add their own creative flair and ideas- just like a professional artist would. One learner suggested I should change my name to Ms Creative, and we all agreed we should become Mr or Miss Creative for the day. Our collective creative identity has crafted a beautiful exhibition for you to see on Monday morning as in true POW style expect the unexpected! Our exhibition is on the left hand side, please continue through the hall to our normal door where a member of Year One will be waiting for you.
During Monday children will participate in an Inspired Writing morning, focussing on creating the world that The Green Man lives in- this will be an opportunity to explore our creative writing skills and use our imaginations to create something that has never been thought of before. In the afternoon we will be working in mixed aged groups to complete a junk model version of our world, this is another opportunity for learners to expressive their creative ideas, I can't wait to see what they design!
Knock Knock Nativity.
