Next week we will be having a
'food to fork'/harvest themed week. The children will be making harvest art
work, cooking and learning about farms and harvest in India. We will be having
visitors in on Tuesday and learn about Indian traditions; everyone will be
helping to make a piece of art work. You are invited in on Friday to our
Harvest assembly at 9.15am where the children will sing their Harvest song.
Then at 2.30pm you can come in to school and take your child to the Harvest
cafe to taste some of the delicious food the classes have been making.
All of the children have been set some home learning today. They have all come out with the sheet. A copy of the home learning is below.

Year
1 home learning- to be handed in by Monday 10th October please
Choose one
of the pictures. Cut it out and stick it on a new piece of paper. Now choose
one of the activities:
·
Draw
labels and descriptions of what you can see.
·
Write
a sentence to say- Who do you think lives here? What do they look like? How do
they get in their home?
·
What
is the castle made of? How do you think they made it? (if it is on the water or
on a hill)
·
If
you’re feeling really creative you could write a story!
Please work with your child on this
piece of writing. We encourage the children to spell using their phonics mat,
have cursive writing and use capital letters and full stops.
If you have any questions about this please come and see us next week.
Have a lovely weekend!
