Wow!! What
an amazing first week! Everyone has settled in brilliantly and coped well learning
all about the ins and outs of being in Year 1!
In
literacy we found out about what everybody has done over the summer (it seems
like lots of children went to Cornwall!). In Maths this week we have
concentrated on place value. We have been learning to count forwards and backwards
to 20 and have been practising writing and reading numerals. It has been a joy
getting to know the class and Mrs Thorpe and I cannot wait to see them next
week.
Year 1
Parent Information Session will be on Tuesday 19th September between
9-9.30am. Mrs Thorpe will go through the learning for Autumn Term during this.
Once
again, please do not hesitate to ask one of the team if you have any queries!
