Open afternoon on Monday and Tuesdays trip

I have been really impressed with Year 1 this week. They have used their imagination to write their own poems about a magic box. We are in the middle of writing these and will hope to show you them on Monday afternoon during the parents open afternoon (from 2.30pm). This is a good time to come in and look through your child's books, folders and meet their new teacher.

This afternoon was the last Forest School session. Maddy from the Dorset Forest School came to watch the children in the site. She was amazed with how focussed, enthusiastic and skilled all of the children were making crowns and masks. I hope the children have enjoyed Forest School as much as I have this year. We have one last Forest School session which is on Tuesday! We will be spending the day in a beautiful private woodland. If your child usually has a hot dinner and this is booked for Tuesday they will be given a packed lunch. Children should also bring a bag to put this in that they can carry, a drink, snack, sun hat, sun cream and wet weather coat. The children should wear normal Forest School clothes: long sleeve top, long trousers, wellingtons or strong trainers.

If you can help then please let us know.
Many thanks

Mrs Thorpe
