Our trip to the woods

The Year 1 trip today was a fantastic end to our Forest Schools sessions. The children explored, created and discovered so many things in a short time! Netherbury is a beautiful wood that has an ancient woodland and a relatively new coppice. We enjoyed collecting clay from the stream and making faces, we made large dens, collected fire wood and the children's favourite- marshmallows!

The children did so well as we had to walk quite far so we have given them the remaining pieces of Mr Potato head. We will decide what they want as a treat and do this on Thursday.

Last week I forgot to thank all of the parents that came in and read at the end of the day. The children loved this! So thank you!

A big thank you to all of the helpers on our trip today we hope you had as much fun as we did!

It was great to see a very busy classroom yesterday for our open afternoon. We hope you enjoy looking through your children's art folders.
