What a scientific week!

Yesterday, science week ended with a fantastic demonstration from Mr G! His assembly in the morning to the whole school showed children how gas turns to water when burned! How air can travel and many more exciting experiments! The children then had to opportunity to have a go themselves at exploring weird and wonderful things from optical illusions to static electricity and much more! We really could have spent all day investigating! A perfect ending to a brilliant week! The children have worked very hard!

We ended the day with our praise assembly. This assembly recognises the children's work, progress and effort over the whole half term. The following awards were given;

Creative Arts – Lucas for his work on portraits, capturing the facial features beautifully.

PE – Gracie – Mae for her great effort and progress.

Wow Writer – Orson for his wonderful contribution to shared writing and his own independent work.

Star Reader – Noah B for his effort and interest in books.

Farrington award for learning about the world – Evie P for his quizzical and curious questioning to find out more.

Maths – Thomas for his super telling the time and measurement work.

Music – Florence for her contribution to lesson and singing in assemblies.

ICT – Elsie for her super work on Purple Mash creating a fantastic game independently.

What a superb half term we have had learning an array of wonderful things.

We hope you all have a happy and safe half term and look forward to what the next half term holds!
