Y1- Starting our new topic

Today the children started their new Literacy topic- traditional tales. Mr Spracklen read 'The Jolly Postman' and the children wrote about the characters in the story. We will be looking at character descriptions, drama, narrative and story writing.

In Maths this week the children will be using multiplication to double. There will also be an aspect on independent learning where the children get to choose their own challenge level.

It is the first Forest School tomorrow. I am aware that it is going to be very cold. Please can we make sure all the children have long sleep tops, jumpers and coats as well as hats, scarves and gloves. If they do not have the appropriate clothing I will not be taking them outside as it would be far too uncomfortable for them. We will keep the lesson active and decide to come back in if it is too cold.
