We are really looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. We welcome Mrs Elliott to the teaching team for the Spring Term.
Our topic this term is 'Out of this world!' We will be learning about the history of the moon landing, Neil Armstrong and Katherine Johnson. As part of our topic we have a visit from the space dome and an astronaut dress up day.
In DT we will be designing, making and evaluating our own moon buggy and investigating how wheels and axles work too. There is a 'make a wheeled wonder' afternoon for parents to come in and get creative with their child as part of our DT learning.
In RWI some children have changed reading groups. New books and library books will continue to be changed on a Friday. Don't forget to bring reading records in that day too. Look out for the home learning sheet that will come home each week too.
As always, we have lots of exciting things planned for the weeks ahead. There is a parent information session at 9am on Wednesday 11th February where we will be looking at what the year ahead brings. A closer look at reading, handwriting, phonics screening and the wider curriculum.
