Hi everyone!
Just wanted to write a quick blog to remind you about tomorrow. All children need to wear school uniform, as we will be walking up to the care home at the end of the road to sing christmas songs. Please can you send in your child with a packed lunch. We are asking that you wrap this lunch up like a present for them to unwrap!

Hello everyone!
Last week we had our inspired writing week and we were BLOWN AWAY with the amazing writing the children produced. It was incredible to see their faces on Monday when they saw that the school hallway had been transformed. Children took part in a range of writing activities that included postcard writing, character descriptions and letter writing.
Tomorrow children will be coming home with a costume slip for the Christmas play. If you have any queries about these, please email.

Hello everyone, we hope you have had a good weekend and took a lot of shelter from the storm!
We have had another great week in Year 1.
We were lucky enough to have a snow day this week, and we had the most amazing time!! This day involved lots of playing in the snow and drinking hot chocolate.
In Maths we continued to look at addition and subtraction to 10. This will be continuing next week. In English we continued to look at 'I want my hat back'. In Science we continued to look at animals including humans.
Tomorrow marks the start of our INSPIRED WRITING WEEK.....we cannot wait for you to see the school tomorrow, it is truly magical! We also have lots of activities and writing opportunities planned across the week.

Hello everyone, we hope you've had a super weekend!
We have had a great but busy week in Year 1. As we are feeling really settled into Year 1 we are so incredibly proud of all children, they are showing us daily what superstars they are!
This week we in Maths we have been looking at addition. We have been adding numbers together and adding on from a number. In English we continued with our text 'I want my hat back'. We explored how to write speech when characters are talking and explored predictions. In Science we continued to look at animals including humans and explored carnivores, herbivores and omnivores.
Children in need was a great success and children enjoyed taking part in Pudsey activities.
Please can you ensure children have their PE kits and outdoor clothes in school.

Hello everyone! We just want to say what an absolutely amazing day we had at the Zoo. All children represented the school extremely well and we were so so proud of them!

The Year 1 Team
Hello everyone! We hope you have all had such a good half term and are feeling ready to start our second term in Year 1. We are all so excited to see you tomorrow and hear about all the wonderful things you did during your half term.
On Wednesday we are off to Marwell Zoo. If you have not given permission or paid for this trip yet, please can you do this ASAP. We will be leaving as close to 9 as possible so please ensure children are in school at 8:45 or as close to as you can. We ask that children wear their school top but they can wear any trousers and shoes that you deem suitable. Please send in children with a coat, a snack, a water bottle and a packed lunch if you haven't ordered one from local food links. We will be arriving back to school at a later time of 5 (depending on traffic).
We are looking for 2 more volunteers to join our trip. Some of you have already offered to help, if you have please can you send an email to remind us. If you do want to volunteer on this trip, please email Miss White.

Hello everyone! One week to go until half term. We can do this!
Thank you to all whole came to celebrate our Harvest festival. The children sang amazingly and made some yummy smoothies.
Tomorrow starts our last week of the first half term in Year 1. We are so incredibly proud of how all children have settled and their amazing attitude to learning.
Please remember parent consultations start tomorrow. If you have not already booked a session, please do this as soon as possible.
