Don't Forget your Don't Forgets!

 Goodness Me Year One Families!

I cannot believe it is the last week of the Autumn Term and our smashing children have  almost completed their first term in Key Stage One! I am so proud of how well they have settled in, how kind they are to each other and the grown ups and just how much learning they have done!

Buckle up it's going to be a busy week this week, here are your Don't Forgets!

Don't forget the costume tomorrow- we have TEN  children who have not yet brought in a costume, please let us know tomorrow morning if you need help finding one.

Don't forget that the KS1 performance is Tuesday and Thursday Morning at 9:30 (children under school age are only permitted for Tuesdays performance.)

Don't forget it's Christmas Dinner and Panto day on Wednesday

Don't forget on Friday we are off to Cheriton Care Home for some festive singing

Don't forget festively wrapped lunch box on Friday. (Honestly this is SUCH a lovely experience for the children!) (My mum even wrapped mine one year!)

And most importantly don't forget to have a very wonderful festive holidays!

Here's a few photos from our printing in Art. Children will be bringing home their story I want my Friend Back, we have focussed on this story all half term, I have been so impressed with the children's writing, do read their stories with them.

Please do contact me if there is anything you would like to discuss.

Our Senses, rehearsals and costumes!

Hi Year One Families,

It's all go in Year One! We are very busy rehearsing for our Nativity, we are looking forward to sharing it with you in the last week of term.

This week in Science we were learning about our senses, we had a lovely time exploring our sense of touch, taste, smell, sight and sound!

In English we are continuing being authors writing our very own sequel to I want my Hat Back- I want my friend back. We hope to share this with you in the last week of term.

In Maths we have concluded our unit on subtraction. This week we will be recapping addition and subtraction before moving onto shape in Unit 5.

In Art we are busy creating prints as part of our Printing-Art for Purpose focus- these will be coming home at the end of term.

Please ensure that all costumes are in school by the 11th December, please make sure that they are clearly labelled.  Please let us know if you are having any difficulties.

Please get in touch if you need anything.
