Year One - SECRET MISSIONS

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we are swiftly approaching Christmas, in Year One we have some SECRET MISSIONS that we need your help with.

SECRET MISSION ONE - We are inviting relatives (we were thinking Grandparents in particular but not exclusively) to help us take part in some secret filming via Zoom. The filming will involve listening to the children sing live and responding with their thoughts.

We plan to do this zoom call on Thursday 10th December 2020 at 11:00am sharp, please see below for the joining instructions -

(these are on the original letter)

Please feel free to share these details with trusted relatives, please make it clear to them that we will be recording the whole broadcast and will be making the content available via our usual social media channels.

SECRET MISSION TWO - Alongside the Zoom call, on Wednesday 9th December 2020, we will be visiting the local care home ‘Cheriton’ to sing the resident some Christmas Carols.

The visit has been carefully arranged alongside Cheriton to ensure that we are following the current COVID-19 restrictions. We will be singing from outside and the residents/staff from the care home will be in the doorway or watching from windows. There will be no contact between the two.

We will be walking from school at 1:45pm on the day and we will be back in time for pick up at 3:15pm. Children are asked to wear their usual school uniform and are also welcome to bring a festive accessory such as festive headgear (reindeer antlers, christmas hats or tinsel).

If you do not want your child to take part in one or either of our secret mission activities please make this known to the Year One Team ASAP.

Content recorded in both secret missions will be shared via our usual social media streams.

This Christmas is promising to be the best we’ve had at #TheGreatestSchoolOnEarth!

Thank you in advance for your support.

Warm regards,

Miss White
