Hello everyone,
We continue to crack on with our Pirate learning and last week we began writing some adventure stories based on The Midnight Pirates story by Peter Harris. This coming week we will be looking to develop these by making plans for our stories before writing them and we will begin using a 'Story Mountain' to help guide our stories - the image below will hopefully help to show this... This is the start to us building up our Big Write that will be happening in the final week of this half term.
Thank you to everyone that came along to the parent info session last Thursday! Hopefully you found this useful if not a little unique. In this I shared how we plan to teach the class about the Sex and Relationships Education part of our Jigsaw scheme. If anyone has any questions on this please do not hesitate to come and see us.
Well done for all the practicing with the spellings that we are sending home at the moment! These words reflect the increased challenge we have set the class as they continue to stretch our expectations.
Quick note about accelerated reader - When you return your books to the library please make sure you scan the book back in and then accept the return by clicking the relevant button on the computer. This is to ensure you are able to continue taking books out. A reminder that each child is allowed a maximum of 3 books at any one time. If anyone needs help with this come and let us know.
