Hello everyone,
Year 1 had a fantastic trip to the Riverlab on Friday. The weather was a bit sketchy to begin the day with but this did not deter the children from their tasks.
We began by collecting samples from the river itself to use in the afternoon. This was great fun and I think everyone got a little bit wet through doing this... Having said this, nobody actually fell in!
In the afternoon we went back to the lab and began to investigate all the things that we had caught in our samples earlier on. There were some very keen-eyed observations by the children and some fantastic observational drawings with scientific labels.
Everyone appeared to fully enjoy the day and took part in a very mature and sensible manner.
I hope to have a photostory on the TV for when you come in tomorrow so you can get a flavour of what we got up to!
