The Girl with The Yellow Bag

This week we are carrying on with our traditional tales. We have started to look at the story of The Gingerbread Man.

Today we had a focus day on handwriting. Half of year one swapped for the morning with half of year two and vice versa in the afternoon.

In year one we looked at a short animation

The children worked in pairs and had a choice of objects to put in their own yellow bags. The idea was to imagine the objects turning into different things. They then used their ideas to write their own stories. Both year one and two had some really fantastic ideas. Well done!

Mrs. Johnson in year two made story books come alive! The children had to use their imagination to write a poem (using similes) about what comes alive out of their books.

The children had a brilliant day and worked excellently with year two.
