Y1- Explorer dome visit!

Today we got to visit the explorer dome which was set up in our school hall. After crawling inside the children learnt lots about our planets and different types of things you see in space. We learn't about the love story of Luna and Orion and they taught us how to spot them in the stars! Why not ask your child about them? What did Orion have on his belt? Where did Luna live? Who is Sirius? It was a fascinating experience which I know they all enjoyed.

After this we carried on with our own Science experiments in class and then went to watch Jonathan from Sustrans pedal a bike to generate electricity. The faster they rode the more power it gave.

If you didn't see on the board this morning- Tim Peake 'liked' our tweet!

Reminder about tomorrow's dress up day, still need coats please. Science fair projects in. Do not worry if you have not done one as they children can view the others. Also from 2.45 you can come and view the Science fair.
